Electronic Control Module (ECM) - Flash Program
ECMs are flashed to upgrade the software. Flash programming ECMs must also be done if the ECMs have been replaced. The Caterpillar® Electronic Technician (Cat® ET) service tool contains the program WinFlash. WinFlash is used to load software into the ECM.
The following procedure is used to flash software into the ECM.
