New Wire Assemblies And Spark Plug Insulators Improve Service Life Of Ignition System{1558,1555,1552,1408}

G342C, G379, G398, G399 Natural Gas Engines

Description of Change: Two new wire assemblies, with new spark plug insulators, are available for use in the above engines. The new spark plug insulators are made of Teflon® to be more resistant to heat damage and to improve the service life of the ignition system.

Adaptable To: The new 7W8665 and 7W8666 Wire Assemblies are direct replacements for the former 7N6297 and 2W5269 Wire Assemblies respectively.

For parts service, order one complete 7W8665 Wire Assembly for each cylinder on engines equipped with an Altronic® ignition system. Order one complete 7W8666 Wire Assembly for each cylinder on engines equipped with a Colt® ignition system. For parts service of individual components, see the chart.
