Incorrect Connection Of Battery Charger Can Open Circuit Breaker And Damage Woodward 2301 Governor Control{1400,1401,4450}

Usage:

All 3200, 3300, 3400, 3500 Marine, Industrial, Generator Set Engines With Wiring Harnesses In Flexible Conduit

Some caution needs to be observed when a battery charger is connected to the electrical circuit on the above engines with the new wiring system. This system is identified by the use of the plastic flexible conduit and has been in effect since about September 1984.

Always connect the positive lead of the battery charger to Terminal No. 1, and the negative lead of the charger to Terminal No. 28. See illustration of a typical wiring diagram for the new system.

NOTICE

Do not connect the charger to Terminal No. 24. This terminal is after the circuit breaker, and high charging rates can open the breaker causing damage to the Woodward 2301 Governor Control.
