Service tools are now available for charging both the nitrogen actuator and the agent bottles of Caterpillar fire suppression systems. All fire suppression systems from the factory are shipped discharged. Systems must be charged prior to delivery to a customer.
The new 6V7908 Adapter Assembly, 6V7906 Plug Wrench Group, 8T967 Wrench Group and the 8T3141 Spanner Wrench are required to charge fire suppression systems.
The 8T967 Wrench Group, shown in Illustration 1, is used to remove and install the 3T9384 Plug, part of the 6T9427 Actuator Release Valve Group attached to the nitrogen actuator, shown in Illustration 2.

The 6V7906 Plug Wrench Group, shown in Illustration 3, is used in a similar manner to remove and install the 3T9384 Plug, part of the 3T9396 Actuator Release Valve Group.

The 8T3141 Spanner Wrench, shown in Illustration 4 is used to remove and install the 6T9470 Solenoid Assembly, part of the 6T9427 Actuator Release Valve Group, shown in Illustration 2.

The 6V7908 Adapter Assembly, shown in Illustration 5, is used to refill both the ABC dry chemical and the 2402 HALON agent bottles shown in Illustration 6.
