Note: Before assembly, apply 4C-4032 Bearing Mount Compound to the groove of the retainer (1) .
(1) Torque for the retainer ... 35 ± 5 N·m (26 ± 4 lb ft)
(2) Lubricate the sealing lip of the buffer seal assembly lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
(3) Lubricate the sealing lip of the U-cup seal lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
(4) Lubricate the sealing lip of the wiper seal lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
(5) Before assembly, apply 4C-4032 Bearing Mount Compound to the wiper seal groove.
Note: Maximum extension of the spring pin in the cap and bearing assembly is 2 mm (0.08 inch).
(6) 1U-3848 Sleeve Bearing
- Inside diameter ... 89.25 ± 0.02 mm (3.514 ± 0.001 inch)
- Outside diameter ... 104.966 ± 0.013 mm (4.1325 ± 0.0005 inch)
- Installation depth of the sleeve bearing ... 9.5 ± 0.5 mm (0.37 ± 0.02 inch)
- Outside diameter ... 104.966 ± 0.013 mm (4.1325 ± 0.0005 inch)
Note: Before assembly, lubricate the threads of the locknut (7) with clean lubricant.
(7) Torque for the locknut ... 3100 ± 310 N·m (2286 ± 229 lb ft)
(8) Torque for six bolts ... 900 ± 100 N·m (664 ± 74 lb ft)
(9) Before assembly, apply Loctite 51580 to the bottom of connector plate.
(A) Bore of the hydraulic cylinder ... 160.00 ± 0.10 mm (6.299 ± 0.004 inch)
(B) Diameter of the rod ... 84.950 ± 0.038 mm (3.3445 ± 0.0015 inch)
(C) Bore of the head over two lands ... 85.63 ± 0.03 mm (3.371 ± 0.001 inch)
(10) Torque for the socket setscrew ... 25 ± 3 N·m (221 ± 27 lb in)
Note: Maximum permissible drift per minute for the lift cylinder at 36690 kPa (5321 psi) is 0.5 mm (0.02 inch).
