Typical Assembly (1) Actuator Open Position (2) Actuator Closed Position (3) Valve Open Position (4) Valve Closed Position (5) Mark on Shaft |
(A) Setup angle down from horizontal with actuator at full open position ... 3 degrees
(B) Actuator operating range (full open to full closed position) ... 75 degrees
(C) Rod adjusted length ...
(D) Valve operating range (full open to full closed position) ... 74 degrees
(E) Setup angle up from horizontal with valve at full open position ... 1 degree
(F) Reference angle ... 88 ± 2 degrees
(G) Reference angle ... 14 ± 2 degrees
Use the following procedure to assemble the linkage:
- Assemble two rod ends with rod as shown in Illustration 1. Ensure equal engagement of the rod ends. Adjust the rod ends to achieve a center to center distance of the following value:
Length (C) ...
253.8 mm (10 inch)
Use the following procedure to install the levers and linkage assembly:
- Rotate and hold the actuator shaft in the full open position.
- Install the actuator lever at an angle down from horizontal to the following value:
Angle (A) ... 3 degrees
- Rotate and hold the fuel valve shaft in the full closed position. The mark on the shaft is at the following value above horizontal:
Angle (G) ... 14 ± 2 degrees
- Install the lever at an angle up from horizontal to the following value:
Angle (E) ... 1 degree
- Rotate and hold both shafts in the full closed position.
- Attach the rod ends to the actuator and valve levers.
Use the following procedure in order to check the angle of the mark on the valve shaft:
- Rotate and hold the shaft for the fuel valve in the full closed position.
The mark on the shaft in the full closed position from horizontal is the following value:
Angle (G) ... 14 ± 2 degrees
- Rotate and hold the shaft for the fuel valve in the full open position.
The mark on the valve shaft in the full open position from horizontal is the following value:
Angle (F) ... 88 ± 2 degrees
- Tighten all hardware. Recheck the linkage. Compare the linkage to Illustration 1 fuel valve open and closed positions. If a correction is required, reposition the actuator lever.
