Installation Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Thoroughly clean all parts before assembly in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.
- Position brake assembly (16) on the machine and install bolts (15) . Tighten bolts (15) to a torque of 300 ± 40 N·m (221 ± 30 lb ft).

- Install yoke (3) .

- Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of bolt (12) .
- Install O-ring seal (14) , retainer (13) , and bolt (12) . Tighten bolt (12) to a torque of 120 ± 20 N·m (89 ± 15 lb ft).
- Install brake drum (10) and bolts (11) . Tighten bolts (11) to a torque of 120 ± 20 N·m (89 ± 15 lb ft).

- Reposition brake actuator (4) and install bolts (5) .
- Release the parking brake in order to allow rod (6) to extend into position.
- Connect lever (9) to rod (6) with pins (7) and (8) .
- Activate the parking brake.
- If necessary, install the steering cylinder on the left side of the machine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Cylinder - Remove and Install".
- Reposition center drive shaft (2) and install bolts (1) . Tighten bolts (1) in a crisscross pattern to a torque of 120 ± 20 N·m (90 ± 15 lb ft). Repeat this Step a second time.

- Refill the transmission with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transmission Oil - Change".
- Adjust the parking brake actuator. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Parking Brake Actuator - Adjust".
End By: Disconnect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
