Description of Change: New axle shafts are now used on certain Wheel Tractor-Scrapers. The new axle shafts have shorter splines for the final drive sun gear. The shorter splines on the new shaft prevent the spacer from being cut by the splines.

Adaptable To: The new axle shafts are a direct replacement for the former axle shafts. The new axle shafts are effective with the following machines:

• 621G (S/N: DBB263-UP)

• 623G (S/N: DBC198-UP)

• 627G (S/N: DBD325-UP; DBZ323-UP)

The new axle shafts are adaptable to the following machines:

• 621B (S/N: 45P1-UP; 35V1-UP)

Note: The 277-0725 Axle Shaft is a direct replacement for the 8D-6051 Axle Shaft for the machines that are listed in Table 1. The 277-0725 Axle Shaft is not interchangeable with the 8D-6051 Axle Shaft in any other machine applications.
