Removal Procedure
Note: Put identification marks on all electrical wires for installation purposes.

Accidental machine starting can cause injury or death to personnel working on the machine. To avoid accidental machine starting, turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position and remove the key. If the machine is not equipped with a battery disconnect switch, disconnect the battery cables from the battery and tape the battery clamps. Place a do not operate tag at the battery disconnect switch location to inform personnel that the machine is being worked on. |

- Open the engine access door on the left side of the machine and remove the side panel.
- Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.
- Slide the rubber cover down harness assembly (5). Remove the nut and disconnect the harness assembly from electric starting motor (1) .

- Remove plastic plug (2) and disconnect wire (4) from the electric starting motor.
- Remove three bolts (3) and remove electric starting motor (1) from the engine.
Installation Procedure

- Position the electric starting motor on the engine and install three bolts (3) .

- Connect wire (4) to the electric starting motor and install plastic plug (2) .
- Install harness assembly (5) to electric starting motor (1). Secure the nut and slide the rubber cover over the nut.
- Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
- Install the side panel and close the engine access panel.
