Location of the pilot oil pressure reducing valve (1) Pilot oil pressure reducing valve |
The pilot oil pressure is controlled by pilot oil pressure reducing valve (1). The pilot oil system will constantly operate at the pressure reducing valve pressure setting.

Pilot oil pressure reducing valve (2) Valve (3) Drain outlet (4) Inlet (5) Reducing pressure outlet |
Pilot oil from the brake and pilot section of the gear pump enters the pilot oil pressure reducing valve through inlet (4). Pilot oil pressure reducing valve (1) is a cartridge type valve that maintains a constant pilot pressure to the hoist, steering and parking brake circuits.
Reduced pressure oil flows to the pilot oil filter through outlet (5). Excess oil returns to the hydraulic tank through outlet (3).
