Service Magazine SEPD0659, 09 December 2002, "A New Mounting Group and an Oil Filter Housing for the Power Train Oil are Used". A portion of the information in this article is incomplete. Disregard this article. Refer to the information that follows.

Description of Change: A new mounting group and an oil filter housing for the power train oil are used. The new mounting group and a filter housing uses a filter that is serviced from the top of the housing. The former design used a filter that was serviced from the bottom of the housing. The new design prevents oil from spilling onto the machine when the filters are changed.

Adaptable To: The new mounting group and an oil filter housing was effective with 992G (S/N: ADZ327-UP) Wheel Loaders and 854G (S/N: AMP301-UP) Wheel Loaders. The new mounting group and an oil filter housing is adaptable to first production of the machines that are listed.

  1. Use the existing bolts in order to install the new 195-8074 Support (1). Torque the bolts to 240 ± 40 N·m (180 ± 30 lb ft).

  1. Install a new 9S-4182 Plug and a new 3J-7354 O-Ring Seal (3) into three holes in the 202-9728 Adapter. Install the existing sampling valve (5) into the remaining hole in the adapter, as shown.

  1. Install the 202-9728 Adapter into the right side port of one new 133-1295 Oil Filter. Install a 1P-4579 Half Flange (2), four 8T-4648 Bolts, four 8T-4223 Hard Washers, and a new 4J-0524 O-Ring Seal. Install a 1P-4579 Half Flange (2), four 8T-4648 Bolts, four 8T-4223 Hard Washers, and a new 4J-0524 O-Ring Seal onto the left hand port, as shown.

  1. Install the filter assembly (6) into the left side of the 195-8074 Support by using four 8T-4195 Bolts and four 7X-7729 Washers. Install the other 133-1295 Oil Filter into the right side of the 195-8074 Support, as shown. Torque the mounting bolts for the oil filter to 55 ± 10 N·m (40 ± 7 lb ft).
