(1) Lockup clutch

Thickness of three new discs and of two new plates ... 21.35 ± 0.34 mm (0.841 ± 0.013 inch)

Thickness of one new 336-9318 Friction Disc ... 4.83 ± 0.08 mm (0.190 ± 0.003 inch)

Thickness of one new 1T-1897 Plate ... 3.43 ± 0.05 mm (0.135 ± 0.002 inch)

Bolt Tightening Sequence for Bolts (2)

( 2) Torque for 12 bolts ... 50 ± 7 N·m (37 ± 5 lb ft)

Use the following procedure to tighten 12 bolts (2):

Tighten four of the bolts in numbered sequence 1 through 4. Then, tighten all 12 bolts in numbered sequence 5 through 16. Overlap the starting point in order to make sure that all of the bolts are at the required torque.

(3) Torque for eight bolts ... 50 ± 7 N·m (37 ± 5 lb ft)

(4) Torque for eight bolts ... 50 ± 7 N·m (37 ± 5 lb ft)

(5) Put a small amount of lubricant on the o-ring seal before installation.

(6) Torque for twelve bolts ... 120 ± 15 N·m (89 ± 11 lb ft)

(7) Torque for three bolts ... 120 ± 15 N·m (89 ± 11 lb ft)

(8) 1T-1257 Springs for one-way clutch

Length under test force ... 17.8 mm (0.70 inch)
Test force ... 30.74 ± 1.96 N (6.91 ± 0.44 lb)

(9) Torque for twelve bolts ... 80 ± 10 N·m (59 ± 7 lb ft)

( 10) Torque for 24 bolts ... 240 ± 25 N·m (177 ± 18 lb ft)

Use the following procedure to tighten 24 bolts (10):

Tighten eight of the bolts in numbered sequence 1 through 8. Then, tighten all 24 bolts in numbered sequence 9 through 32. Overlap the starting point in order to make sure that all of the bolts are at the required torque.

(11) Torque for six bolts ... 30 ± 5 N·m (22 ± 4 lb ft)

( 12) Torque for 24 bolts ... 80 ± 10 N·m (59 ± 7 lb ft)

Use the following procedure to tighten 24 bolts (12):

Tighten eight of the bolts in numbered sequence 1 through 8. Then, tighten all 24 bolts in numbered sequence 9 through 32. Overlap the starting point in order to make sure that all of the bolts are at the required torque.

(13) Torque for 11 bolts ... 50 ± 7 N·m (37 ± 5 lb ft)

(14) Torque for locknut ... 205 ± 15 N·m (151 ± 11 lb ft)
