压力升高量就是进口和出口之间的差值。 通过压力升高量可判断水泵是否工作正常。 端口 (1) 和端口 (2) 代表水泵出口压力。 端口 (3) 代表水泵进口压力。
通过对比进口压力和出口压力即可测得压力升高量。 计算进口和出口间的压差。 在以下两种情况下，必须在压力升高量上加上最少 80 kPa (12 psi)：
- 发动机处于工作温度。
- 发动机在满载工况下运转。
