Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".

1. Remove six bolts (1) and the washers.

2. Remove guard (2).

3. Remove three bolts (3) and the washers.

4. Remove guard (4).

5. Remove cotter pin (5) and the pin.

6. Cut two wire ties (7) and disconnect electrical connector (6). Disconnect the power actuator.

7. Position Tooling (A) under the front of power train guard (9), as shown.

8. Remove four bolts (8) and the washers.

9. Position Tooling (B) under the rear of power train guard (9), as shown.

10. Remove bolt (10), the washers, and the two nuts. Repeat this procedure for the other side.

11. Carefully lower Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) in order to lower power train guard (9). The weight of the power train guard is 329 kg (725 lb).

Installation Procedure

1. Use Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) to carefully install power train guard (9), as shown. The weight of the power train guard is 329 kg (725 lb).

2. Install bolt (10), the washers, and the two nuts. Repeat this procedure for the other side.

3. Install four bolts (8) and the washers.

4. Connect the power actuator. Connect electrical connector (6). Install two wire ties (7).

5. Install pin (5) and the cotter pin.

6. Install guard (4).

7. Install three bolts (3) and the washers.

8. Install guard (2).

9. Install six bolts (1) and the washers.

End By:

1. Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
