C9 Marine Auxiliary and Marine Generator Set Engines Caterpillar

E363 High Fuel Supply Temperature

Usage:

C9 C9A
Conditions Which Generate This Code:

The Electronic Control Module (ECM) detects a problem with the engine's coolant temperature. Information on default settings and ranges for these event codes can be found in Troubleshooting, "Event Codes".

System Response:

The 363-1 event code will be logged.

The 363-2 event code will be logged.

363-1

None

363-2

The engine power will be derated.

The fuel is supplied to the injectors through a passage in the cylinder head. Abnormally high ambient air temperature could cause the fuel temperature to reach the trip level. Also, an overheated engine could cause the fuel temperature to reach the trip level.

Determine the events that caused the high fuel temperature. Make corrections in order to prevent the high fuel temperature from recurring.

Test Step 1.

Results:

  • OK - STOP
