Electronic monitoring system operator panel (1) Brake air pressure indicator (2) Parking brake indicator |
The EMS panel includes the elements that are listed here: action alarm, action light and monitoring panel. There are also individual alert indicators in order to monitor specific machine systems.
The EMS is designed in order to alert the operator of an immediate problem in any of the monitored machine systems.
The parking brake indicator (2) should activate on the monitor panel when the machine is started. This indicates that the parking brake is engaged and the transmission lever is in the NEUTRAL position. The indicator (2) should deactivate when the parking brake is released. When you depress the parking brake control knob this will release the parking brake. When the parking brake control knob is activated the air pressure reaches approximately 520 kPa (75 psi).
Note: The action light will activate and the action alarm will sound when the engine is started. The indicators will activate in order to ensure correct operation.
If the EMS parking brake indicator (2) activates stop the machine immediately. Stop the engine. Investigate the cause and correct the cause.
The parking brake indicator (2) will activate if the parking brake is engaged and the transmission lever is engaged in FORWARD or REVERSE during engine start-up. The action light will activate and the action alarm will sound. You will need to shift the transmission lever to the NEUTRAL position in order to deactivate the action light and the action alarm.
Note: The secondary brake control valve must be in the DEPRESSED position. This will ensure that the air tank on the scraper will fill with air.
