Electronic Control Module (Power Train) - Remove and Install

Usage:

545 2FZ

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect" for the machine that is being serviced.

  1. Disconnect the battery power in order to prevent damage to the module.

  1. Remove four bolts (2) and the washers.

  1. Remove plate (1) .

  1. Remove four bolts (3) and the washers.

  1. Remove plate (4) .

  1. Remove two bolts (5) and the washers.

  1. Remove three bolts (6) and the washers.

  1. Remove two bolts (8) and the washers under the cab.

  1. Remove plate (7) .

  1. Remove nut (9) and the washer in order to disconnect ground strap (12) .

  1. Loosen two bolts (10) and disconnect two connectors (14) from the power train Electronic Control Module (ECM) (11) .

  1. Remove four bolts (13) and the washers.

  1. Remove power train ECM (11) .

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power train Electronic Control Module (ECM) (11) under the cab.

  1. Install four bolts (13) and the washers.

  1. Connect two connectors (14) to power train ECM (11). Tighten two bolts (10) .

  1. Connect ground strap (12) .

  1. Install nut (9) and the washer.

  1. Install plate (7) .

  1. Install two bolts (8) and the washers under the cab.

  1. Install three bolts (6) and the washers.

  1. Install two bolts (5) and the washers.

  1. Install plate (4) .

  1. Install four bolts (3) and the washers.

  1. Install plate (1) .

  1. Install four bolts (2) and the washers.

End By: Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect" for the machine that is being serviced.
