0231-12 J1939 Device Not Responding
Conditions Which Generate This Code:
The Engine Control Module (ECM) detects the following conditions:
- The ECM is unsuccessful in receiving a message from a J1939 source.
- The ECM is not receiving a valid message from a J1939 source.
System Response:
The ECM will disable features that require an input from the J1939 device.
The J1939 device may not operate correctly. Certain control systems may not operate correctly.
Test Step 1. Perform the following diagnostic procedure: Powertrain Data Link Circuit - Test
