Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the brake air/hydraulic cylinder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air/Hydraulic Cylinder (Brake) - Remove". The information is in this manual.

1. Remove six nuts (1) from cylinder (2) . Separate cylinder (2) from body (3) . Remove overstroke switch (4) from body (3) .

2. Compress spring (5) in order to remove retainer (6) from body (3) .

3. Compress spring (5) and hold retainer (6) , as shown. Use Tool (A) to remove retaining ring (7) from piston (8) .

4. Remove piston (8) , retainer valve (9) , retaining ring (7) , retainer (6) , and spring (5) from seal carrier (10) .

9. Remove O-ring seal (19) from shaft (17) . Remove shaft (17) and cup seal (20) from piston assembly (18) . Remove felt wiper seal (21) and spring (22) from seal carrier (10) .
