Applying the Brake Pedal - Push the brake pedal downward in order to apply the service brakes. Use the brake pedal for slowing the machine and for stopping the machine. Use the service brakes on a downgrade in order to prevent overspeed. The service brakes are especially needed when you change directions on a steep slope.
Releasing the Brake Pedal - Release the brake pedal in order to allow the machine to move. Release the brake pedal in order to increase the ground speed.
