The 8G6273 Pump Repair Kit can be used to repair the 8G6272 Pump Group. A new 3W1722 Poppet Assembly replaces the former poppet assembly in the repair kit. The new poppet assembly, which can be identified by the letter"X" on the nose end, must be installled as shown in this instruction.
1 Remove and disassemble the 8G6272 Pump Group as shown in the Service Manual.
2 Put clean oil on all parts before assembly, and install all new O-ring seals. Install 3W1722 Poppet Assembly (1) (marked with an "X") in bore (A). Install spring (2) [length 17.5 mm (.687")], plug (3) and retaining ring (4).
3 Install 8G6274 Poppet Assembly (5) in bore (B). Install spring (6) [length 25.4 mm (1.0")], plug (7) and retaining ring (8).
4 Install piston assembly (9) and nut (10). Install 3G6274 Poppet Assembly (11), spring (12) [length 25.4 m (1.0")] and plug (13) in bore (C). Plug (13) must be pushed in and held while installing 3G6274 Poppet Assembly (14), spring (15) [length 31.75 mm (1.25")] and plug (16). Install retaining ring (17).
5 Install stem (18) and collar (19) in the pump group.
6 Install fittings (20) as shown. Install the pump group as shown in the Service Manual.
