Usage:
All Machine Hydraulic Systems
Bolts and nuts of hydraulic valves must be tightened to the correct specifications. If tightened more than the specification, distortion of the bore will result, and the inner parts will not operate (move) freely. Also, leakage of fluid from the valve is possible. If tightened less than the specification, the valve will not operate correctly, and leakage of fluid from the valve is possible.
When service work is done on a hydraulic valve, see the Specifications Module of the Service Manual, for the component worked on, to learn the correct torque for the bolts and nuts. The first pages of the Specification Module show standard torques for bolts and nuts used on hydraulic valves.
Use a torque wrench to be sure the torque is correct.
