Introduction
The 7C9053 Conversion Group is a conventional radiator group which will replace the folded core radiator group.
This instruction gives the procedure for replacing the folded core radiator with a conventional radiator. The conventional radiator has more space between the fins than the folded core modules.
In some applications fine debris can cause plugging of the air side of the folded core modules used in the folded core radiator assemblies.
This conversion will allow more debris to flow through the radiator.
The 7C9053 Conversion Group consists of parts from:
- * Radiator Group* Hydraulic Oil Cooler Group* Oil Cooler Lines Group* Order four 9F2978 Nuts for machines equipped with an air-conditioner.

Removal Parts
Remove Guard and Radiator Group
At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure. Steam can cause personal injury. Remove the fill cap only when the engine is stopped, and the cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure. Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes to prevent personal injury. |
1. Drain the coolant from the radiator.
Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components contact skin. |
2. Drain the oil from the hydraulic oil tank.
3. Disconnect the coolant hoses from the engine so that the radiator may be removed.
4. Remove the radiator and guard assembly from the machine.
5. Remove the folded core radiator from the guard assembly.
NOTE: Some of the original parts will be used to install the new radiator group.
