Description of Change: A software change has been made to the Customer Communications Module (CCM). This software was updated to change level 02 in order to fix an issue with IID $15 which caused the loss of a checksum byte.

Adaptable To: The software has been changed on the 188-3080 Communication Electronic Control Module. This software change (change 02) is effective with the serial numbers listed above.

Application Notes

M50 Protocol

When using M50 protocol with the 188-3080 Communication Electronic Control Module, use the SEBU7014 Operation and Maintenance Manual.

M5X Protocol

When using the M5X protocol with the 188-3080 Communication Electronic Control Module, use the SEBU6874 Operation and Maintenance Manual and the REHS0806 Special Instruction. SEBU6874 and REHS0806 describe the M5X protocol and contain Instruction Identifiers (IIDs) that are not supported by the M50 protocol.

Note: The Broadcast Event Table that is shown in Special Instruction, REHS0806, "Additional Information for the Customer Communication Module (CCM) that is used on Series 3500 and Series 3600 Gas Applications" is incorrect. The Broadcast Event Table should read: $FA $0E ab[ccd...ccd].

CCMPC

To use CCMPC for gas engines that are using A3 with a 188-3080 Communication Electronic Control Module, use CCMPC version 1.4. (available by ordering JERC2162).
