( 1 ) | The setpoints are programmed at the factory. The calibration value is listed on the bar code sticker. |
OP8 is the option for programming the calibration value of the voltmeter and ammeter. When the GSC has been replaced or the AC transformer box has been replaced, the calibration values bar must be programmed into the GSC. This ensures accurate voltage values and current values.
The GSC monitors five transformers in the ATB for information about the voltage and current. Each transformer has individual characteristics that affect the voltage and current measurements that are taken by the GSC. A calibration value is measured and the value is assigned at the factory. The calibration value is recorded on the bar code sticker that is located on the lower left hand side of the ATB. When the generator set is assembled at the factory, the calibration values on the bar code sticker are programmed into the GSC. The calibration value is 0 to 255. The calibration value uses increments of 1.
Procedure For Voltmeter/Ammeter Programming
Note: Service Mode cannot be entered when the engine control switch (ECS) is in the AUTO position.
Note: Any active shutdown fault must be made inactive in order to access Service Mode. To temporarily change a shutdown fault from an active shutdown to an inactive shutdown fault, turn the ECS to the OFF/RESET position. To permanently change a shutdown fault from an active shutdown fault to an inactive shutdown fault, the fault must not be occurring. Also, the ECS must be turned to the OFF/RESET position. If the jumper from terminal 6 to terminal 9 is not installed on the ECS, the GSC does not power up in OFF/RESET and any active shutdown fault must be corrected before entering service mode.
- Turn the ECS to the STOP position in order to shut down the engine. Enter service mode and enter the password. OP 1 is showing on the lower display. For more information, see Systems Operation, "Service Mode"for more information. See the Systems Operation, "Password Entry OP3"for more information.
- Press the "SCROLL UP" key seven times. "OP 8" is showing on the lower display.
- Press the "SELECT" key. "AC01" is showing. The value of the setpoint is also showing. The value will be between 0 to 255.
- Press the "SELECT" key. The value of the setpoint is flashing.
- Press the "SCROLL UP" or the "SCROLL DOWN" key in order to adjust the value of the AC01 setpoint. Match the value that is shown on the ATB for A-B voltage.
- Press the "ENTER" key. The value of the setpoint stops flashing.
- Press the "SCROLL UP" key. Repeat steps 3, 4, 5 and 6 for setpoints AC02 through AC06.
- Press the "EXIT" key. "OP 1" is showing on the lower display.
- Press the "EXIT" key. The display will return to the Normal Mode.
