The Standby Pump Panel is an option that is available for the following engines: 3606, 3608, 3612 and 3616. The panel is compatible with the following items: Marine Monitoring System II (MMS II), Engine Control Panel and Generator Monitoring System (GMS). The option consists of a set of engine mounted pressure contactors and a shipped loose control panel. The system sends signals for automatic starting to the starter circuits for the standby pump. The system can provide signals for automatic starting to the following standby pumps:

  • Oil Pump

  • Fuel Pump

  • Jacket Water Pump

  • Aftercooler / Oil Cooler Water Pump

  • Sea Water Pump

The standby pumps are activated in order to keep the engine from shutting down due to loss of pressure. The pressure loss may be in any of the following systems:

  • lubrication

  • fuel

  • cooling
