Water Pump - Remove and Install

Usage:

Removal Procedure

  1. Turn disconnect switch (1) to the OFF position.

  2. Drain the coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

  3. Open hood assembly (2).

  4. Disconnect hoses (3) and (4).

  5. Disconnect hose assembly (5). Disconnect hoses (7) and (8). Disconnect harness assembly (6).

  6. Remove elbow assembly (9).

  7. Disconnect hoses (10).

  8. Remove bolts (14), water pump (13), and gasket (12) from front cover (11).

  9. Remove bolts (15), cover (17), and gasket (16).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install water pump (13) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Tighten bolts (14) in the sequence that is shown in Illustration 8 to a torque of 22 N·m (195 lb in).
