For parallel operation, the synchronizer (17) matches the speed of the generator to the frequency of the bus.
The power converter (18) has an input range of 18 DCV to 32 DCV. The power converter has an output of 24 DCV. The power converter provides the power for the following items:
- PLC
- Touchscreen display
- Protective relays
- Other items
During automatic operation, the watt transducer (19) provides input to the PLC for load management.
For constant engine speed during times of variable loads, the isochronous or droop switch (20) is placed in the isochronous mode.
The idle speed or rated speed switch (21) adjusts the control for running the engine at idle speed or rated speed.
The PLC (22) consists of the following items:
- Central processing unit
- Discrete input and output
- Analog input and output
- Communications hub for serial devices

The spill containment and water egress functional components are located in the upper left compartment (if equipped).
Relays for power distribution (28) are source selective. There are relays for the following items:
- Heaters
- Lighting
- Battery charger
- Other AC circuits for the power module
The battery charger (28) is rated at 24 DCV and 20 amperes. The battery charger is switched ON and the battery charger is switched OFF from the rocker switch type circuit breakers. The rocker switches and circuit breakers are mounted on the door.
The circuit breakers for the power module distribution (25) are itemized. Refer to the Product Information Section, "Power Distribution Panel".
