(1) Tighten the flange bolts for the clamp to the following torque. ... 12 N·m (9 lb ft)

Note: Remove the original seat washer from the threaded hole for the fuel injection nozzle which is located in the cylinder head. If the original seat washer is not removed, the projection of the nozzle will be incorrect when a new seat washer is installed. Do not reuse the seal and the seat washer.

Bench test the fuel injection nozzles at the following temperature. ... 18 to 20 °C (64 to 70 °F)


NOTICE

Do not use dirty test fluids when you test fuel injection nozzles. Also, do not test fuel injection nozzles unless you have the correct service tools.The use of dirty test fluids and the use of incorrect service tools will result in damage to fuel injection nozzles.

( 1 ) The code letters are stamped on the side of the fuel injector body. The code letters are located below the connection for the nut of the high pressure fuel line.


NOTICE

Ensure that the new fuel injection nozzles have the same identification code as the previous fuel injection nozzles in the cylinder head. If the fuel injection nozzles have an incorrect identification code, damage to the engine may occur.
