Battery Circuit Requirements
The battery negative should be grounded as close as possible to the battery. The battery negative must be connected to the zinc anode bonding system in the vessel. This will reduce the event of electrical interference with electronic equipment on the vessel.
A battery isolator switch should be installed in the positive battery cable as close to the battery as possible. The switch should be suitable for a momentary current of at least 1000 amp.
