The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

ReferenceSpecial Instruction, GEBI0224, "Installing 240-7864 Hydraulic Coupler Supply Group ".

Problem

Field service reports indicate the 240-7864 Hydraulic Coupler Supply Group has experienced electrical component failures. The 9W-1446 Fuse fails as the hydraulic circuit goes over relief.

1. Locate the coupler supply group, toggle switch, and connecting blue and green wires.

2. Add 5A fuse (20) between the power wire and toggle switch (4) .

   Note: 5A will not harm components.

3. Replace original 20A fuse (9) with new 40A fuse (9) between the power wire and before relay assemblies (19) and connector plug assemblies (21) .

4. Use red 10ga wire (22) to connect relay assemblies (19) and connector plug assemblies (21) to the coupler supply wiring circuit.
