Position the bucket or the work tool on a level surface. Uncouple the bucket or the work tool from the quick coupler. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Operation - Uncoupling the Work Tool".
Lower the quick coupler to the ground in front of the machine. Stop the engine on the host machine. Remove the engine start switch key before exiting the machine.
Note: Engage the parking brake and bring the hydraulic system to a zero energy state. To achieve zero energy state, the service brakes must be pumped down to release pressure from the brake accumulators. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual of the host machine for additional information.

Personal injury or death can result from improperly checking for a leak.
Always use a board or cardboard when checking for a leak. Escaping air or fluid under pressure, even a pin-hole size leak, can penetrate body tissue causing serious injury, and possible death.
If fluid is injected into your skin, it must be treated immediately by a doctor familiar with this type of injury. |
|
Visually inspect the Hydraulic System for leaks or damage. Repair any damaged components or replace any damaged components prior to use of the quick coupler.
Couple the bucket or the work tool to the quick coupler. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Operation - Coupling the Work Tool". After the bucket or the work tool is coupled, ensure that the coupler wedges are fully engaged into the bucket or the work tool.
