The swivel accomplishes two functions. The swivel supplies pump oil from the upper structure to the travel motors, blade cylinder, and variable gauge cylinder of the lower structure. The upper structure swings. The lower structure does not swing.
Housing (A) is bolted to the upper structure. Rotor (B) rotates within housing (A). A support arm is on rotor (B) in order to prevent rotation. The ports of housing (A) are open to the ports of rotor (B). The passages in housing (A) and the passages in rotor (B) connect the ports.
Seals (9) are provided between the sliding surfaces of housing (A) and rotor (B). Seals (9) prevent oil leakage between the passages.
