(A) 62.7 mm (2.47 inch)

(1) After the installation of the impeller, the impeller must be flush with the end of the shaft.

(2) Use an installation tool and a press to install the unitized seal. Install the unitized seal into the shaft until the stationary cup is fully seated into the water pump housing. Do not install the seal by hand.

(3) Use an installation tool and a press to install the oil seal. Install the seal with the primary lip toward the drive gear for the water pump. Press the oil seal into the pump housing until the seal is flush with the seal's counterbore . Do not install the seal by hand. Do not lubricate the seal lip.

(4) Tighten bolts to a torque of 18 ± 3 N·m (13 ± 3 lb ft).

(5) Apply 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant to the threads of the plugs prior to installation.
