Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) 250 Caterpillar

Dry Contact - Configure

Usage:

UPS 250 BEE
The contacts are configured with the CAT UPS View software package. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7311, "Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) 250".

User Programmable Remote Input Contacts

Each of the six user programmable remote input contacts has an operating parameter. The operating parameter is used in order to configure that contact.

The following list of functions can be assigned to the remote input contacts by entering the parameter in the operating parameter for the associated remote input. The default function assignment is listed in table 2.

Table 1
Function List for the Input Contact
Function     Description
0     No function
1     On Generator
When On Generator different limits can be set for the Transient Voltage Detection, Maximum Input Current and the Walk-in Rate operating parameters
2     Remote switch UPS to Bypass
3     Remote switch UPS On-line (only if no errors are active)
4     Building Alarm 1 - will trigger External Alarm output contact
5     Building Alarm 2 - will trigger External Alarm output contact
6     Building Alarm 3 - will trigger External Alarm output contact
7     Building Alarm 4 - will trigger External Alarm output contact
8     Fire Alarm - will trigger External Alarm output contact
9     Remote Alarm Silence - Silences the buzzer or a Notice or Alarm is active
10     Gen Set Start Breaker Open (i.e., if breaker required by code, notice of no gen set start power) - Prints a breaker open message when input is activated and a breaker closed message when the input is deactivated
11     Room Temperature Abnormal - Prints a message when input is activated and a different message when input is deactivated

Table 2
Default Function Assignments for the Input Contacts

6     6     Building Alarm 3

User Programmable Remote Output Contacts

Each of the eight user programmable remote output contacts has an operating parameter that is used to configure that contact. The following list of functions can be assigned to the remote output contacts by entering the parameter in the operating parameter for the associated remote output. The default function assignment is listed in table 4.

Table 3
Function List for the Output Contact
Function     Description
0     No function
1-100     Flywheel Percent Energy - Flywheel has the programmed percentage of usable energy available and the system is on-line.
101     On-line (normal)
102     On Bypass
103     Flywheel Discharging
104     Notice or Alarm Condition is active
105     Alarm Condition is active
106     Overload
107     Cabinet over temperature
108     External Alarm Active - Activated by programming remote inputs to any of the Building Alarms or the Fire Alarm function
109     Aux Generator set Start unavailable
110     Overload Bypass - system is in bypass because of an overload condition
111     DC Bus Capacitor Fusible Link Blown
112     Fan Failure
