Some Auxiliary Sea Water Pumps May Have Oil or Sea Water Leaks {1371}

The 3406E (S/N: 9WR526-695) Marine engines built between February 1, 1998 and July 1, 1998 may have an auxiliary sea water pump that could develop an oil leak or a water leak. This is due to an oversize diameter of the lower bearing bore in the water pump housing. If the 131-8272 Auxiliary Sea Water Pump on an engine within this serial number range has a leak, the entire water pump should be replaced. Do not attempt to replace the water seal or the oil seal in order to repair the leak.
