There is no signal from the Crank Angle Sensor (CAS). The speed sensor indicates that the engine rpm is greater than 300 rpm. One of the following conditions exist:

• The signal wire is shorted to the -battery.

• The clearance for the CAS is incorrect.

• Metal filings are on the pickup of the CAS.

• The sensor has failed.

• There are metal filings on the pickup of the speed sensor.

• There is electrical noise on the speed sensor wire.

System Response:

The Timing Control Module (TCM) will signal the engine to shutdown. The TCM will activate the outputs for the shutdown and the remote indicator. The magneto will continue to fire at fully advanced timing. The "NO CRANK ANGLE SENSOR SIGNAL" LED will illuminate. The code may be viewed on the DDT.

• OK - Stop.
