Piston and Rings

(1) The top ring must be installed with the yellow colored strip to the right of the ring end gap. Install the top ring with the "UP-1" facing upward.

(2) The intermediate ring must be installed with the green colored strip to the right of the ring end gap. Install the intermediate ring with the "UP-2" facing upward.

(3) The third ring must be installed with the red colored strip to the right of the ring end gap. Install the "UP-3" facing upward.

(4) Install the oil control ring and the ring expander with the gaps at an angle of 180 degrees across from each other. The white colored portion of the ring expander must be visible through the oil control ring gap.
