Crushing Arm - Remove
Removal Procedure

Start By:
- Remove the hydraulic cylinder from the work tool. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic Cylinder - Remove".
- Install an appropriate nylon lifting sling on crushing arm (1). Attach Tooling (A) and appropriate lifting chains to the outer crushing teeth, as shown. Attach the sling and the chains to a hoist. The weight of the crushing arm is 670 kg (1477 lb).

- Remove two bolts (2) and the washers that secure plate (3) to the housing.

- Use Tooling (B) in order to remove plate (3) .

- Use a large hammer and a brass drift in order to partially remove pin (4). Attach an appropriate nylon lifting sling and a suitable lifting device to the head of the pin. Continue to remove the pin. Attach another lifting sling to the tail end of the pin. Ensure that the area behind the pin is free of personnel. Tap the pin slowly until the pin is free. Avoid heavy tapping with the hammer in order to prevent the pin from swinging. Lower the pin to the ground and remove the lifting device and the lifting straps. The weight of the pin is 57 kg (126 lb).

- Lift crushing arm (1) from the work tool. The weight of the crushing arm is 670 kg (1477 lb). Remove the nylon lifting sling, the lifting chains, and Tooling (A) .

- Remove four spacers (5).
