- (1-Rework Procedure)
Rework Procedure
1. Disassemble the track adjuster according to the Disassembly and Assembly section of the Service Manual.
2. Increase the diameter of the 1153678 support from 38.00 ±0.30 mm to 44.00 ±0.30 mm. See Illustration 1.
3. Increase the diameter of the 7Y1780 cylinder from 40.012 ± 0.012 mm to 45.012 ± 0.012mm. Machine a new seal groove to diameter 50.031 ± 0.031 (See Illustration 2, detail A). Machine a new chamfer as shown in section B-B in order to make the assembly of the larger rod easier.
4. As the new 1225076 rod is larger, the diameter of the head of the rod has to be reduced to 56.0 ± 0.8 mm. See Illustration 3.
5. Be careful that machined parts do not present any beard that could scratch the parts during the assembly. The scratches could create grease leakage.
6. Assemble the track adjuster according to the Disassembly and Assembly section of the Service Manual.
