Governor Housing - Drain

The governor housing (1) is mounted on the rear of the fuel injection pump. Condensation can collect over time in the governor housing. There are two drains which are located at the rear (bottom) of the governor housing. Perform the following procedure in order to drain the water from the governor housing:
- Remove bolt (2) and plug (3) .
- Allow the water and sediment to drain.
- Install bolt (2) and plug (3) . Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Torque Specifications" topic (Maintenance Section) for the proper torques.
- Prime the fuel system. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fuel System - Prime" topic (Maintenance Section) for more information on priming the fuel system.
