The steering pump (1) is located in the engine compartment on the left side of the machine. The compartment door provides access to the pump.
The engine drives charge pump (1). Steering pump (2) is splined to the charge pump. The pump housing is shared by the steering pump and the charge pump. The steering pump and the charge pump also share common inlet line (3).
The pumps draw oil from the hydraulic tank through a suction strainer. When the engine is running, steering pump (2) rotates. The steering pump draws oil from the hydraulic tank and directs steering oil to port "P" of the steering manifold.
