New Screws Are Now Used in the Left-Hand Side and Right-Hand Side Door Groups of Certain 773E, 777D, and 777E Off-Highway Trucks {7308} Caterpillar

777E (S/N: KDP1-525; KDZ1-210)

Description Of Change: New screws are now used in the left- hand side and right-hand side cab door groups of certain 773E, 777D, and 777E Off-Highway Trucks. The new screws are longer than the former screws for better thread engagement. Loctite 242 is also applied to the threads of the screws for improved retention of screws.

Adaptable To: The 9X-2045 Screw replaces the 9X-2043 Screw for the inner door panel in the left-hand side and the right-hand side cab door group.

The following changes are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.

Tighten screws (1) to 6 ± 1 N·m (4 ± 0.7 lb ft).

Note: Apply Loctite 242 to the threads of the screws before installing screws (1).
