Improved Cat® Product Link web, and Product Link Back-Office software is now available for all Caterpillar machines.

2016C.2 Improvements (January 21, 2017)

The improved 2016C.2 release contains the improvements that are listed below:

  • Improved the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) report "Unit Availability" to ensure that assets are never shown as "Not Available" for greater than 100% or less than 0% of the time.

  • Updated home page Equipment "Fuel Usage" and "Power" data to match Utilization page data.

  • Updated PL web to ensure that assets running continuously for more than 7 days will no longer show "Not Available" as the asset status.

  • Updated assets which report a known Data Status Indicator (DSI) to prevent showing the direct translated value of DSI in PL web.

  • Improved Utilization reports to ensure that all relevant assets are included in the received or downloaded report.

  • Updated assets to generate correct alerts for Geo-boundary entrance or exit in the User Interface (UI) and send emails to any set recipients.

  • Updated users to set the new hour values to assets through PL web.

  • Updated Geo Boundaries page for China assets to ensure that the pop-up (asset details) is seen as expected after clicking the "+" button next to an asset.

  • Improved "shared asset" feature to display all information as expected across designated shared assets.

  • Updated all China assets with valid ownership records to subscribe as expected.

  • Improved Connection check in Dealer Service Portal (DSP) to ensure that the actual received response is the one displayed in the User Interface.

  • Updated "Advanced Productivity" screen in VisionLink to display consistent information between "Truck Total Weight" in Application Payload screen and "Stored Payload" total in Application Totals screen.

  • Updated to upload or remove a customer configuration file successfully in PL web.

  • Updated PL web to begin sending the report after the scheduled start date.

  • Updated shared asset report in PL web to contain only the required information data.

  • Updated to edit "Alert Time Zone" for Asset Status Alerts in PL web.

  • Updated "Power Tab" in PL web to populate the information as expected.

  • Updated Equipment Details (ED) page in PL web to display the "Status Parameters" tab for selection when viewing the page.

  • Updated to display the base configuration file successfully after the file is being uploaded to an asset.

  • Updated PL web to ensure that a complex asset shows all relevant subsystems from any tab within the UI.
