The washdown function and settings are selected from tractor display (1) menu options. Display and navigation icons (2) are on each tractor operating station.

Navigation icons (2) are touchscreen inputs. Software configures these icons for the current menu function. Tractor display (1) communicates selection of the touchscreen inputs to the machine ECM through the CAN bus.

The washdown system is a machine function. Washdown system controls are selected from the machine screen. Machine icon (3) is used to navigate to the machine screen.

When machine icon (3) is tapped, the "Functions" bar is visible. A tap on the "Functions" bar will cause the screen to display functions screen (4).

When functions screen (4) is active, washdown switch (5) is available. The washdown switch enables and disables the washdown system. When the switch is tapped, the washdown icon changes color and moves left or right. The left position is the OFF position with the icon color gray (shown). The right position is the ON position with the icon color green. The default position is OFF.

(6) Remote washdown switch

Remote washdown switch (6) is on each screed panel when the optional screed display is not installed. This switch is a momentary-type switch used to enable and disable the washdown system remotely.

When activated, remote washdown switch (6) generates a ground signal to the electronic control system. Depending on the current state of the washdown system, the switch signal toggles the system to the opposite state whenever the switch is activated.

When the washdown system is enabled, the washdown system pump operates until a configurable timer expires. During operation, the activation of any washdown switch turns the system OFF, and resets the timer.

The configurable timer for the washdown system is on Wash screen (10). Washdown timer (11) limits the run-time of the washdown pump, providing an adjustable auto-off feature.

The operator accesses washdown timer (11) through Machine screen (7). From this screen, the "Settings" bar is selected. On Settings screen (8), the "Timers" bar is selected. From Timers screen (9), the operator then selects the "Wash" bar. On Wash screen (10), the washdown timer is set using the "Set Duration" adjuster arrows. The left arrow subtracts time. The right arrow adds time. The washdown timer can be configured from zero to 30 minutes in increments of 1 minute. The default timer setting is 15 minutes.

OK icon (12) must be selected to set the duration value. Washdown timer (11) value is yellow when a change is pending. The value is white when the duration is set.
