Description Of Change: New lift cylinders with improved serviceability are now used on certain 14M Motor Graders. The new lift cylinders include a modified bolted joint with cap, to improve bolt access. The top access to the bolts provides improved tooling access.

The new lift cylinders are a direct replacement for the old cylinders, but the cap must also be replaced with the new cylinders. The hardware to mount the cap can be reused.
Note: The old cylinders may be rebuilt using the new cylinder rod assemblies to provide the same improved serviceability. Similar to the new cylinders, if the new rods are being used, the caps must also be replaced to allow bolt installation.
The new lift cylinders are adaptable with the following machines:
- 14M (S/N: B9J1-1450; R9J1-1870)
- 14M (S/N: B9J1451-UP; R9J1871-UP)
