Left Side of Machine (1) Main implement manifold |
Main implement manifold (1) is located in the compartment on the left side of the machine. The left compartment door provides access to this component.
Main implement manifold (1) controls oil flow from the steering manifold to the following locations:
- Tow point cylinders
- Screed lift cylinders
- Conveyor motors
- Auger motors
Note: Not all functions of main implement manifold (1) are discussed in the material feed section of this publication. Functions that are not directly related to the material feed systems are discussed in the appropriate sections in this publication.
Note: For additional information on the tow point and screed lift systems, refer to the auxiliary system section in this publication.

Inside the main implement manifold, supply oil from the steering manifold is directed to pressure reducing valve (10) and relief valve (9).
Relief valve (9) limits the pressure available to the material feed system. Pressure is limited to
The left conveyor valve is controlled by left conveyor forward solenoid (16) and left conveyor reverse solenoid (5). This valve controls the flow of hydraulic oil to and from the left conveyor motor.
The right conveyor valve is controlled by right conveyor forward solenoid (15) and right conveyor reverse solenoid (4). This valve controls the flow of hydraulic oil to and from the right conveyor motor.
The left auger valve is controlled by left auger forward solenoid (14) and left auger reverse solenoid (3). This valve controls the flow of hydraulic oil to and from the left auger motor.
The right auger valve is controlled by right auger forward solenoid (13) and right auger reverse solenoid (2). This valve controls the flow of hydraulic oil to and from the right auger motor.
Each auger control valve and conveyor control valve is equipped with a flow compensator valve. These valves regulate the flow of hydraulic oil to the corresponding motor. The flow compensator controls oil flow to maintain a consistent pressure drop across the motor.
Each auger control valve and conveyor control valve is equipped with a resolver valve. These valves compare the pressure signals on either side of the motor. The higher of the two pressures is the load signal for that particular motor.
The main implement manifold contains a resolver network that monitors the load pressures of the various systems serviced by the valve. These load pressures are compared by resolvers and the highest demand signal is directed to the resolver network in the steering manifold.
