Description Of Change: The main frame has been improved for the 785D Off-Highway Truck. The improved main frame includes an improved welding process that will help to reduce the chance of cracks developing near the pad casting welds.
Adaptable To: The improved main frame is adaptable to the following machines:
- MSY1-675
- DMC1-182
- MSY676-UP
- DMC183-UP

If a crack is discovered in weld (E) or weld (F) at the transition casting of rail (A) or rail (B), and pad (C), follow the weld repair instructions from Special Instruction, REHS0541, "Procedure for the Inspection, Repair, and Component Replacement on the Frames of Certain Off-Highway Trucks/Tractors".
If a crack is discovered in the above mentioned area, and the crack extends into the parent material, submit a DSN service request for specific weld repair instructions.
