Water is sprayed from the gun at high pressure and velocity. Do not direct the water jet towards yourself or other people. Personal injury or death could occur. |
Clean the tracks, and conveyors. Also clean the rotor. Use the high-pressure water system (if equipped) at the end of operation each day. This cleaning will prevent asphalt or concrete from setting up when the machine is idle. Cleaning of the rotor can be made easier. Leave the water spray system on at the time of moving the machine from the end of the cut to the parking location.

Illustration 4 g06008772 - Turn the high pressure wash-down pump ON. Move switch (7) to the ON position.
- Pull the trigger (8) on the spray gun until all the air is released.
Note: If water is not discharged from the spray gun within approximately 10 seconds, turn off the pump and consult your Cat dealer.
- Direct the spray gun at the parts to be cleaned.
- If necessary, close the low-pressure valve (6) to obtain a high-pressure water jet.
- When you have finished cleaning the machine, turn off the valve (3) to the OFF position.
- Turn the high pressure wash-down pump OFF. Move switch (7) to the OFF position.
- Open the low-pressure valve (6).
- Pull the trigger (8) on the spray gun to release the pressure.
- Disconnect the spray gun from hose (4). Disconnect hose (4) from the output port (5). Stow the hose and spray gun assembly.
Always relieve the pressure in the system after use.
Note: To avoid damage due to freezing in winter, drain all the water out of the pump using the drain valve (9).
