Air Conditioning Compressor Pressure Switch Is Not Working On Certain Series C Articulated Trucks {1408}

Usage:

735C LFJ
Articulated Truck
735C (S/N: LFJ1-UP; TFJ1-UP)
740C EJECTOR (S/N: TFN1-UP)
745C (S/N: LFK1-UP; TFK1-UP)

Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the following solution.

Problem

An improper connection of the wires on air conditioning compressor pressure switch (1) may be caused from the wires being pulled too tightly by over-tightening cable strap (2).

Solution

Perform the following instructions to resolve the improper connection of the wires on the air conditioning compressor pressure switch.

  1. When checking the connection of the wires on air conditioning compressor pressure switch, if an improper connection is found:

    1. Remove the original cable straps which secure the wires to the air conditioning compressor pressure switch.

    2. Position the wires forming 25 mm loop (3) above pressure sensor (1) to achieve a proper connection.

    3. Use two cable straps (2) to secure the wires as shown in Illustration 2.

      Note: Ensure that the cable straps are not over-tightened which can cause an improper connection.

    4. Verify the operation of the air conditioning compressor pressure switch.
